Handmade by Vista Alegre.
Reproducing 18th Century Tobacco Leaf Chinese
Export Porcelain a much treasured pattern original
in the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Small rim Imperfection on each (Picture #12)
You can also see it in Picture #10 in context of the
rest of the bowl.
In this time period Mottahedeh did not glaze the rims
like the rest of the bowl, maybe to be more like the
the original export porcelain they were reproducing.
But I think it made rim more susceptible to a little
something in production.
I bought 4 of these bowls two had this
kind of thing.
I've sold the other two for 0 ea.
These with this little issue are 0 for the two.
If you actually use your Tobacco Leaf set these
are a good idea.
8" diameter.
3 7/8" high.
