    Description

    This is a hand carved example of superb chip carving. This would be classified as a small vase or Shepherd's basket.  The maker's stamp on the bottom is very difficult to read, but I believe it states, Made in Bulgaria.  This carving stands about 4.5 inches in height, about 5.5 inches in length (left to right), and the width is just over 2.5 inches.  The wood grain is beautiful.  It's obviously carved from a hardwood, given its weight.  This is a lovely piece.
    I also have another Shepherd's hand carved wood basket on another Ebay listing.  It's larger and has exceptional details as well.
